Children Who Spend At Least Seven Hours Per Week Using Screens May Have Triple The Risk Of Myopia (Decreased distance vision)


Researchers found that school-aged children who spent seven hours or more a week using computers or mobile video games tripled their risk for myopia. Myopia is a condition of decreased distance, otherwise known as “nearsightedness.” Yet, another diagnosis related to excess use of screens and technology – vision changes, sleep disorders, addictive behaviors, to name a few.

Another reason to limit screen time in our youth!
